Österreichisches Sprachdiplom ÖSD (Austrian Language Diploma)
The “Österreichische Sprachdiplom” (ÖSD- Austrian Language Diploma)(Link) is a state-approved examination system for German as a foreign language. The assessment is based on six-levels. The ÖSD serves as an international certificate of proof of knowledge in the German language and is accepted by many universities, training centers and employers abroad. In 1998 it received the „European Award for Innovative Language Initiatives“ by the European Commission. The ÖSD is offered in Austria as well as in 160 official language centers located in more than 30 countries worldwide. Preparation courses and official tests are also held in some institutes in Japan.

Summer course at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna
The Summer Course of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (Link) offers intensive German classes for learners of all levels – from beginners to advanced, everybody can find a course suitable to the individual requirements. Classes are taught in small groups by a team of highly experienced trainers specially qualified for teaching “German as a Foreign Language”. By means of creative language learning, research projects and leisure activities students can discover Austria in all facets as well as apply the new language skills acquired during classes. Additionally, lectures and excursions give participants the opportunity to learn about Austrian politics, history, society and culture.
