ÖSD- German language test in Japan

The “Österreichische Sprachdiplom” (ÖSD- Austrian Language Diploma) is a state-approved examination system for German as a foreign language. The assessment is based on six-levels. Each exam includes tasks testing reading and listening comprehension as well as writing and speaking skills corresponding to the standards of the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages” (CEFR). The ÖSD serves as an international certificate of proof of knowledge of the German language and is accepted by many universities, training centers and employers abroad.

For those who do not have time for a language course or a long-term stay in Austria, online language courses are a good alternative to prepare for the language diploma.

Deutsch.info(Link) is a EU-project supported by the Austrian Institute offering free Online-German lessons. Currently there are over 127,000 registered users. The courses are now being upgraded and extended so that motivated learners can soon learn German up to level B2 for free.
